Daniela Carmona is a TV & Event host, freelance journalist, and artist born in Colombia, 1991. She currently works in Vancouver and across Canada for major Latin American media outlets such as as Univision Canada and Colombian national TV, NTN24, in Vancouver.
After coming to Canada in 2004 as a refugee, she saw the unison in democracy and journalism and decided to obtain her Journalism Bachelor’s Degree. As an immigrant, she feels an immense desire and responsibility to be a voice for her people. Her work emphasizes the importance of ethnic diversity and professionalism in our society, igniting pure love for multiculturalism.
Daniela grew up in Queens, New York, where at an early age she discovered her passion for television and entertainment while still treasuring her ethnic roots and embracing her Hispanic heritage through music and dance. After obtaining a Journalism Degree, Daniela began directing and hosting her radio show, QUE PASA, at Euforia Spanish Radio, Vancouver.
She is the founder and director of Canada Latin Media, an entertainment corporation which shines the light on local and international Hispanic artists and events. During her journalism career, she has interviewed many celebrities including Michael Buble, Jake Gold, Canadian Idol judge and music manager, the Gypsy Kings and famous Latin artists including Farruko, Jessica Cediel, Pipe Bueno, and many more.
Daniela has acted in multiple episodes of Untold Stories of the E.R. and the TLC TV show. She has appeared in films for Lifetime TV, independent films, and has done commercials for networks such as NBC. One passion leads to the next and while fulfilling her dreams, Daniela follows the rhythm of her heart. She is a recording artist in Vancouver and sings Latin American music, which keeps her in tune with her culture.
