DEYA DOVA (Australia)
Fusing the earthy human–ness and sensual power of her voice with the cutting edge futurism of global bass music
Hailing from the expansive Nullarbor desert in Australia and currently based in the Byron Bay area, singer / producer Deya Dova received an artist ‘Award Of Excellence’ at Burning Man 2015 and was dubbed one of the most talked about acts of the North America West Coast Festivals 2015.

As one of the few female electronic producers, and ground breaking vocalists recording live at sacred sites, 2015 has seen the strength of the absolutely engaging live show consistently capture audiences – from headlining Luminate Festival NZ, Bali Spirit Festival Indonesia and Earth Frequency Festival Australia to a debut 3 month tour of the West Coast of the USA, including Beloved Festival, Burning Man Festival, Enchanted Forest and Symbiosis.

Synthesizing ancient songlines / Tribal voices and evocative story telling with cinematic soundscapes, whomping bass, textural glitch and totemic beats, Deya Dova invokes a mythic temple vibe and brings euphoric tribalism to the dance floor.

Deya was born "behind the veil", inside her intact water membrane. According to folklore, these people inherit an innate connection between the two worlds. It is this otherworldly–ness, deep mysticism and memory that exudes from Deya’s extraordinary vocals, music and stage presence.

Highly innovative and an evolutionary artist in the truest sense, Deya Dova’s live shows are a sophisticated musical and visual feast. Performing with co producer, Hamilton Barnett, blending live electronics, organic percussion, vocal looping, petroglyphic projections and guest ritual performance artists, Deya Dova weaves a conscious elevated dance floor experience infused with feminine mojo.

The live show features music from her latest release Symbiotic, and live versions of remixes by Desert Dwellers, Kalya Scintilla, Drumspyder, and A Tribe Called Red. Deya Dova sings to the Ancient, the Primal and the Mystic within.

Deya has collaborated with renonwned international Artists including Juno Reactor, Desert Dwellers, Kalya Scintilla, An–en–Nae, Drumspyder, Temple Step Project, James Munro, Antix, Adham Shaikh, Switchbox, Nyquist, Luke Chable, Wild Marmalade and Tijuana Cartel. Her music features on countless media and films, including the recent documentary ‘Our Journey Home’ exploring the mysteries of the Planetary Grid leylines and delivering a stunning message that speaks for the Earth & the Sacred Feminine.

Deya Dova’s unique and ever evolving shows have seen her play festivals stages including; Beloved Festival USA, Symbiosis Gathering USA, Enchanted Forest Festival USA, Burning Man Festival USA, Luminate Festival NZ, Bali Spirit Festival Indonesia, Unity Concert 2014 USA, Earth Frequency Festival, Splendour in the Grass, Rainbow Serpent Festival, Falls Festival, Uplift Festival, Byron Spirit Festival, Peats Ridge Festival, Exodus Festival, Southern Oracle Festival, Maya Festival, and Woodford Festival.

2013 saw her latest release ‘Symbiotic’ signed to US label Desert Trax, heralding a new Global Bass driven sound.

2014 brought exciting collaborations with a remix release featuring Kalya Scintilla, Drumspyder, Whitebear and Temple Step Project/Dj Dakini. She also birthed the 'Songlines and the Planetary Grid Project′, documenting her singing at energy centres on the planetary grid and delivering audio visual presentations at Festivals.

In 2015, Deya Dova has been touring internationally in NZ, Indonesia, as well as a 3 month tour of the West Coast of the USA.
