Hip Pocket has been performing in and around Vancouver since 2001, playing in a variety of styles. Leader Adam Rohrlick plays guitar and/or saxophone in the group, which features some of Vancouver's most accomplished musicians. The group is available instrumentally or with vocals and in various sizes and configurations playing a variety of musical styles as a quintet, quartet, trio or duo.

Please keep Hip Pocket in mind for upcoming Christmas parties and corporate events. Hip Pocket Trio has performed at dozens of corporate events providing tasteful and appealing live instrumental background music at cocktail receptions and during dinner. They can work with event planners and clients to tailor the live music to suit the event, adding a featured vocalist after dinner, for example, for a special set or we can morph into a 4 or 5 piece dance band playing classic Rock, Pop and R&B hits.
With years of experience working corporate events, clients are assured an enjoyable and memorable live music performance from Hip Pocket which will enhance their guests experience at the event.

Here are some brief descriptions of some of the various configurations available for Hip Pocket:
* Hip Pocket Solo - Solo nylon string guitar or solo saxophone with subtle and tasteful backing tracks accompaniment performing a mix of familiar Pop hits and Jazz standards is available.
* Hip Pocket Duo - Plays instrumental Jazz standards, Latin Jazz and some pop music. Instrumentation is typically tenor saxophone and piano/keyboards. Also available as guitar and piano/keyboards duo or guitar and bass duo. Well suited to smaller cocktail receptions and background music during intimate dinner events. The Duo performed at the Sutton Place Hotel's Sunday Jazz Brunch from 2010 to 2013.
* Hip Pocket Jazz Trio - Instrumental Jazz standards, Latin Jazz and some pop. Performing instrumental versions of popular songs recorded by Diana Krall, Michael Buble', Frank Sinatra, Nat "King" Cole, Ella Fitzgerald, etc. Instrumentation is usually tenor saxophone, acoustic bass and piano (keyboards), but, if requested, can be presented with guitar/bass/keys or sax/bass/guitar. A female vocalist can be added if requested and/or a drummer can be added for dance music. This group is well suited to cocktail receptions and dinner music for corporate events, private parties and weddings. See sample song list in the bio section
* Hip Pocket Quartet - Smooth Jazz, contemporary instrumentals, funky beats and Latin Jazz. This group offers a unique and hip alternative to the traditional "jazz trio in tuxedos playing standards" format. Instrumentation is guitar/sax, keyboards, electric bass and drums. This group is ideally suited for background music at corporate events offering more of a "urban nightclub vibe", but they can also play quiet dinner music if the setting requires it. The Quartet has performed at numerous corporate events including events for Alcan Rio Tinto and the grand opening of Ferrari Masserati Vancouver dealership
*Hip Pocket Dance Band - Playing a mix of classic Rock, Pop and R&B as a 4 or 5 piece group.
