Maya Nadine was born in Ottawa to parents of German and Chinese–Jamaican heritage. At a young age she performed in several musical theatre productions including A Chorus Line, The Will Rogers Follies, Crazy for You, Oliver!, Annie and others.
After graduating from the Canadian College of Performing Arts, Maya joined the cast of "Spirit of a Nation" as a Storyteller. She then played a can–can dancing and singing Gertie Girl at Diamond Tooth Gerties in Dawson City, Yukon.
Maya’s diverse musical background and vocal training has led to numerous performances in singing, news reporting, narration and commercials.
Most recently, Maya is known for her warrior–type roles in The 100 and Van Helsing. She also played a recurring role in CBC’s DaVinci’s Inquest and DaVinci’s City Hall.
